GRA 2008 Annual Conference

The Worcester Regional Research Bureau, the Boston Municipal Research Bureau, and Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation hosted the 2008 national conference of the Governmental Research Association (GRA).   

The Conference was held in Boston at the Langham Hotel, August 3-6. Individuals and organizations from across the country whose work is the area of researching public policy issues in their communities attended the conference to further their knowledge of some key issues facing state and local governments. 

Dr. Schaefer presented the following panel discussion:

Government Performance: How Does Data Improve Governments? -- How to use performance measures and statistics to improve the delivery of services, improve performance, motivate individuals and hold them accountable for decisions. Real life examples of these strategies in action.
