Ebola experts in Worcester call for truth in reporting, better understanding of disease

A doctor who contracted and survived the Ebola virus. Another doctor well-versed in dealing with infectious disease. A man whose native country of Liberia has been ravaged by the virus.

All three see a dire need for better knowledge and understanding of Ebola, which has torn through Western Africa and reared its ugly head in the U.S. Dr. Rick Sacra, Dr. Tony Esposito and Moses Makor all delivered that unified message and tried to debunk the myths surrounding Ebola during a forum held by The Research Bureau Thursday, Nov. 20 at the DCU Center. They were joined by city Health Commissioner Dr. Mike Hirsh and Health Director Derek Brindisi.
