Matthews of 495/MetroWest Partnership named to lead Worcester Regional Research Bureau

WORCESTER – Paul F. Matthews has been named the new director of the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, an independent public policy research group.

Mr. Matthews was most recently executive director of the 495/MetroWest Partnership, a regional organization of businesses and municipalities aimed at promoting growth in the MetroWest and Interstate 495 corridor. He replaced Timothy J. McGourthy, who resigned in February to become deputy state secretary of housing and economic development.

Mr. Matthews is also a member of the Massachusetts Economic Assistance Coordinating Council, the 495/MetroWest Suburban Edge Community Commission and other economic and transportation organizations.
