WORCESTER – Candidates running for School Committee clashed on their assessment of the superintendent’s job and the recent renewal of the district’s busing contract at a debate at Mechanics Hall Tuesday night.

Tuesday night’s forum, sponsored by the Telegram & Gazette, Worcester Regional Research Bureau and Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, was the third live debate in the Worcester School Committee race, and the second since the city’s preliminary election on Sept. 10 that culled the field from 13 to 12 candidates.
