Study suggests Worcester can attract businesses considering a move out of Boston through affordable office space

A recent study that examined office occupancy in downtown Worcester shows that the city continues to experience positive growth since the recession.

The Worcester Regional Research Bureau, an independent nonprofit organization, found that the growth specifically within downtown is most popular within the arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodation and food service industries.

“Worcester has changed substantially since the last report in 2011, and the downtown area is literally and figuratively at the center of that change,” WRRB Executive Director and CEO Paul Matthews said.
