Chamber of Commerce onboard with CSX plan
The board of directors of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce has come out unanimously in support of CSX Corp.’s plan to expand its freight yard in Worcester.
The board believes the CSX expansion will improve infrastructure in the city and points east, facilitate an increase in commuter rail, provide an increase in temporary construction employment, and create permanent and sustainable full-time opportunities for the region, according to its chairman, Demitrios M. Moschos.
