Report: Worcester school enrollment up 4%, budget up 11%

WORCESTER — The Research Bureau has released its annual look at the Worcester public schools by the numbers, and it also includes facts about the two charter schools in the city.

The report found that the student enrollment in the Worcester public schools grew 4.25 percent between fiscal 2010 and fiscal 2014, while its budget grew 11.27 percent and total staff grew 2.58 percent. The number of teachers and instructional assistants increased, while the number of administrators and other staffers declined.
