Members of the Zero Fare Coalition rallied outside the Worcester Regional Transit Authority Hub Monday in support of using millions in federal relief funds to continue free bus service for another year.
“The money is there,” Brenna Robeson, co-chair of the Zero Fare Coalition, said at the rally, citing $33 million in unspent Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act money that the WRTA has in its coffers.
It was a refrain of many who spoke at the event attended by dozens.
