5 Worcester public employees honored with Research Bureau award for community service

WORCESTER – On Wednesday evening at Mechanics Hall, the Worcester Regional Research Bureau gathered to honor this year’s recipients of the Thomas S. Green Public Service Awards, which recognize public employees who have gone above and beyond in their duties.

The five recipients were James Brooks, Jacquelyn Burmeister, Brenda Colon, Scott Stark and Evis Terpollari.

To be considered for the award, employees must demonstrate exceptional competence in their responsibilities and carry them out with enthusiasm, while maintaining a helpful and positive attitude with co-workers and the public. They must also show community involvement outside the workplace.
