WORCESTER — School safety, district cellphone policies and members’ stipends were among the several different topics the four Worcester School Committee candidates running for at-large seats debated Wednesday evening.
The debate, which was held at Mechanics Hall, gave voters an opportunity to hear candidates’ priorities and thoughts on issues impacting Worcester Public Schools ahead of the Nov. 7 election.
The candidates included incumbents Laura Clancey, Sue Mailman and Tracy O’Connell Novick, as well as former superintendent Maureen F. Binienda, who all stated their case about why they should be chosen for one of the two at-large seats available.
