WORCESTER — “I am asking for your vote, but I am asking you to get out and vote. We need to show that we are a strong city and the only way to accomplish that is to show up at the voting booth,” Worcester School Committee member Dianna Biancheria said at the end of a lively debate between candidates at Mechanics Hall Wednesday night.
The debate was the second in a series of debates co-sponsored by the Telegram & Gazette and the Worcester Regional Research Bureau. Over the course of 90 minutes, candidates running for district seats on the School Committee answered questions related to school safety, cell phone use in schools and vocational opportunities.
