Professor Tom White reviewed his “Worcester Economic Index,” which has been in development since the summer of 2012, this evening at Assumption College as the first of a year long series called the Fairman Cowan Collegiate Lecture Series.
The economic index that White created offers quarterly updates on the greater Worcester economy. The updates include three components: an index of local economic activity, a six month forecast of the Worcester Economic Index based on national indicators and a six month diffusion index of local indicators.
