Contrary to popular public belief, there appears to be sufficient parking in downtown Worcester to meet its needs.
According to a recent report by the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, roughly 4,685 public parking spaces are in the downtown, including those in municipal garages, surface parking lots and on-street parking spaces.
In addition, another 550 parking spaces will be coming online with the opening of the Worcester Common Garage at CitySquare.
