WORCESTER – After wrapping up a series of public discussions about the document that took place over the summer, the School Committee at its meeting Thursday unanimously voted to accept and begin implementing a new long-term strategic plan for the system.
As part of a combined motion made by the chairman, Mayor Joseph Petty, the committee agreed to assemble a committee to oversee the carrying out of initiatives called for in the plan in coordination with Superintendent Maureen Binienda, as well as asked her administration to provide quarterly reports on how that process is going.
