Worcester says yes to Community Preservation Act

Worcester residents let their voices be heard Tuesday and voted yes on Question 5, according to unofficial results from Worcester City Hall.

Question 5 asked city residents if they were in favor of establishing a fund through the Community Preservation Act that would be used for open space protection, historic preservation, affordable housing and outdoor recreation.

The fund would generate revenue through a 1.5% surcharge on the annual property tax.
