How to heal division? Lack of civility on City Council a focus in at-large candidate debate

WORCESTER — While making his opening statement in the Oct. 8 debate involving 12 candidates for at-large city councilor, Gary Rosen said a city resident had told him about the current council, “It’s so divisive. There’s so much anger. There seems to be hate. People don’t cooperate.”

While the resident questioned why Rosen would want to run for such a council, he said that was one of the reasons he chose to run for one of six at-large seats.
